Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 4th ODI, Colombo, Live Streaming, Cricket Scores, SL vs PAK
Sri Lanka have wrapped up the series in impressive fashion and Pakistan are left with nothing but pride to play for when the sides meet in the 4th ODI in Colombo on Friday.
Pakistan have yet to win a match on this tour and despite a smiling Younis Khan explanantion after each match, the alarm bells in Pakistan cricket ought to be ringing.
Latest defeat came in Dambulla on Monday when Pakistan posted a competitive 288/8 only to be blown away by Sri Lankan openers Thuranga and Jayawardene, who put on 202 for the first wicket. Sri Lanka cruised home for a 6 wicket win and series clinching 3-0 lead.
You have to wonder just where to draw the line with Pakistan, most of the criticism thus far has been levelled at the batsmen but of the bowlers, only youngster Mohammad Aamer managed an economy rate of less than 5 runs per over in match number 3. Sri Lanka showed a ruthless streak that bodes well for the forthcoming Champions Trophy in South Africa.
On to Colombo for the 4th (and 5th) ODI’s
The R. Premadasa Stadium is the venue for the remainder of the tour including the 4th and 5th ODI’s followed by a T20. The ground has not been a happy one for Sri Lanka in recent times, India visited here in 2008 and earlier in 2009 and Sri Lanka lost 5 of the matches, winning just 2 and there was one no result. It is usually a pretty high scoring ground
As for the stats, here is a good one for you. On each occasion the captain winning the toss in the 7 matches which produced a result between Sri Lanka and India elected to bat. On each occasion that proved to be the correct decision, the side batting first won the match!
