Vadodara celebrates team India’s victory over Sri Lanka
Cricket fans here celebrated the victory of India over Sri Lanka in Tuesday’s T20 match and stunning performance of Pathan brothers, who hail from the city.
The cricket lovers busted crackers and danced to the drums on roads.
It is these two brothers, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan, who brought India back into game and their match winning performance will remain a memorable one, they said.
Mehbubkhan, father of Pathan brothers, said, “I was confident of India’s victory in this match. Yusuf is known for playing his role whenever any team demanded him to do so in the past, he has done it in IPL tournament and Ranji trophy matches.”
The way Irfan Pathan hit a magnificent sixer to register India’s victory in the last over of the match, it stunned every body, said Upendra Vaidya.
President of Baroda Cricket Association, Chirayu Amin and other members also congratulated Pathan brothers and the entire team.
